    Classification on basis of superficial morphological characteristics are termed *artificial* methods _(Ex:Linnaeus)_

    Upon taking into consideration both external and internal morphology, anatomy,embryology etc. the classification is termed *natural* classification.

    At present *phylogenic* classification systems based on evolutionary relationshops along with the data from natural classification is used.
