For a gas to be called as ideal gas it must satisfy the following conditions:
- The total volume of the atoms or molecules should represent a very small fraction of the volume of the container.
- The atoms or molecules obey Newton’s Laws of motion; and they move in random motion.
- All collisions are elastic. The atoms or molecules experience forces only when they collide.
