Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to include 23 additional cities across India to conduct NEET 2017 examination. NEET examinations for 2016 had 5 centers in Tamilnadu namely Chennai, Trichy, Coimbatore, Salem, Madurai. For this year, it is planning to include three more cities in Tamilnadu namely Vellore, Tirunelveli and Namakkal.
For NEET 2017, Tamilnadu students will get eight examination cities and students need not travel for more than 100 Kms to reach the examination centers. Students are being asked to give their preferred examination centre through the NEET exam portal cbseneet.nic.in
The official press release also states that more than 2000 educational institutions will act as examination centers from 103 cities all across the country to accommodate 11.35 Lakh students appearing for NEET 2017 examination.
