Points to Remember

For a gas to be called as ideal gas it must satisfy the following conditions:
  • The total volume of the atoms or molecules should represent a very small fraction of the volume of the container.
  • The atoms or molecules obey Newton’s Laws of motion; and they move in random motion.
  • All collisions are elastic. The atoms or molecules experience forces only when they collide.
