A system of providing a name with two components, generic name and epithet.

Binomial Nomenclature Explanation

It is a formal naming species system of living things by giving each a name composed of two parts, both of which use Latin grammatical forms, such a naming system is called a binomial naming system. The first part of the name is genus and second part of the name is species. E.g., Mangifera is genus and indica is the species.
